The Sphinx suggests discrete observation. It suggests that you typically behave like a wise person who knows more than they hear, but who keeps that information to themselves until the time is right.
Because of this Sphinx is associated with the ability to keep secrets, but at the same time manage to wheedle them out of other people.
Another aspect of the Sphinx is that it represents the energy of secrecy, observation, and patience.
If the Sphinx has shown up as something your Inner Self has to tell you, then it’s possible that you need to acknowledge that there is a lot that has been left unsaid. That there is a lot that you keep to yourself. That there is a lot of watching and waiting. Of holding cards close to your chest. Of listening but not speaking. It’s time to ask why you do that, and heal the root of it. It’s your time to commit to making decisions from your best self and honour your desires and goals, going forward.
However, if there’s something you are developing, then keeping things a bit closer to your chest is a good way to get in touch with yourself. Listen more than you talk. Be patient. And remember that nothing great or permanent was ever created quickly. So, don’t give away too much. Don’t share what you are doing with people who may not want you to do it or to succeed.
