Fire as a tool to release yourself from Ego

Fire is of course, related to the astrological fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius), and has a lot of the same traits – Like actual fire itself, fire signs are often passionate, dynamic, and temperamental. Fire can keep you warm, or it can create lots of damage.
The actual definition of this specific card is a little less dramatic, and speaks of energy, creativity, loyalty, valour and ardour. So if you’ve chosen Fire to represent something you need to embrace to release yourself from Ego, it’s likely that one or more of these traits make up the energy that’s required.
Fire is also representative of significant change. It could be a change in you, or a change around you. It might be that you are looking to spark a signifiant change. What Fire means is that you have the ability to create change when you direct your energy towards something. Just be careful not to burn bridges if you want to cross them again.
Fire can pertain to energy, anger, ardour or inspiration. Whatever it is to you, this card would indicate a strong desire for change. And fast. If you’ve chosen the Fire card, then in order to move forward, you need to use your creativity to identify what you want to change, and how best to change it.
One final thing, apply the energy that you have to finding something that works for you. Tap into your creativity. If you could do ANYTHING, and you’d be assured of success, what would it be? Think about it – if you could do anything, have anything, go anywhere, be anyone, what would that look like?
So this it talking about change. It’s time to look at what’s not working for you right now and decide to stop doing it. And creativity – where do you lose yourself? Where does time fly? Or stand still – in a good way? Fire is also about applying energy to something, so deliberately focusing on stopping allowing your Ego to run you will work wonders.
And I say this with love, but acknowledge any anger you are carrying around with you. Your anger is just as valid as anyone else’s. You don’t have to act on it, but take a good hard look at it. If it’s valid, acknowledge that. If it’s an overreaction, acknowledge that too. Clarity is a good way to burn away what you don’t need to carry with you any longer. Then you can do the whole rise from the ashes, Phoenix thing.
