Welcome to
The Magnificent Me Project!

Scroll down to find your card, and see how it is that you’re holding yourself back this Eclipse season. There is a special Eclipse reading with each card, but you should also look closely at the symbology of your card for a more personalised message.

Each card in The Integrated Cartouche contains elements of ancient Egyptian energy healing, Reiki, Astrology, Alchemy, Numerology and colour (amongst other things). The result is a highly energised image that speaks to you on every level.

Let me know if it resonates!

1

Osiris

Lord of the underworld and god of rebirth, Osiris is the god-king. He’s the ancient Egyptian deity related to the Root Chakra, so if you picked this card, then it might be time to release any fear (which is the emotion that blocks the Root Chakra) around allowing yourself to step into the next version of you.

Fear can keep us stuck in places that aren’t right for us and keep us doing things that are, in truth, self-sabotaging.

We can be so afraid to lose what we have that we can’t see any potential for something better.

If you’ve been afraid to move forward, perhaps it’s time to find out why.

2

Isis

Isis is the wife of Osiris and the basis upon which the concept of the Divine Feminine was built. She is the goddess of magic, and closely related to both the Moon and the Third Eye Chakra.

If she appears for you here, she’s telling you that you are holding onto some sort of illusion (which is what blocks the Third Eye Chakra)  and that this illusion is what is holding you back.

We often delude ourselves into believing we are less than we truly are. So if you’re struggling to see your own magic right now, then perhaps it’s time to find out why.

3

Horus

Horus is the son of Osiris and Isis. He was the Sun king and represents the ability to overcome that which challenges us. He encourages us to believe that, whatever it looks like right now, things will work out in the end.

He’s closely related to the Crown Chakra, so if he appears now, then the implication is that your attachment to Ego is what’s holding you back.

Our Egos are what keep us safe. But they also keep us small, telling us stories that make us stop taking chances.

So if you’ve been self-limiting in any way, then perhaps today, it’s time to find out why.

4

Bast

Bast is sister to Horus and daughter to Isis and Osiris. She is the goddess of joy (and cats) and her appearance for you here would indicate that perhaps you’ve felt that you needed to step through life increasingly carefully. Like a cat, tip-toeing through obstacles?

She is also the ancient Egyptian deity associated with mental health, so it’s quite possible that your anxiety is what’s been holding you back.

Life makes us anxious sometimes, but often we project what we are already  carrying around inside of us, so that we can keep ourselves safe.

If this is something that resonates, then perhaps today is a good time to find out why you’ve been behaving this way.

5

Thoth

Thoth is the messenger, the scholar, the healer, the scribe. He brought Alchemy into the world and even today, takes care of our Akashic records.

He’s also the ancient Egyptian deity associated with the Throat Chakra – which is blocked by lies of any sort. Lies that we tell, or that are told to us, or about us.

If he appears here for you, then he’s telling you that it’s an issue around communication that’s been holding you back.

For some reason, you’ve been unable to express yourself properly. Perhaps today is a good day to find out why.

6

Hathor

Hathor, goddess of love. She’s associated with the Heart Chakra and through that with unconditional love.

But the Heart Chakra is blocked by grief, and if you picked her, then it’s possible that you are being held back by your grief about a situation that you feel that you can’t change.

Unless we understand how to use our Heart Chakra energy, we have very little control over what happens around us. Something has happened and you’re struggling to see the sense in it.

This struggle is what’s keeping you stuck. If you’d like to move on, then perhaps it’s time to find out why it’s affecting you as much as it is.

7

Nephthys

Sister to Isis and Osiris, and wife to Set, Nephthys is the dark side of the moon, where Isis is the light side.

She represents our shadow selves, and is closely related to mystery and the unseen.

If she appears here, then it would seem that you are struggling with your inability see into the future.

You are worried by the fact that you can’t control uncertainty and you are fearful that things won’t turn out the way that you want them to.

It might be that you have a dream that you feel you can’t (or shouldn’t) share with the world. Perhaps now is a good time to find out why that is.

8

Ptah

Ptah spoke the Universe into being. He’s the great creator god, the Architect, the one who’s voice created matter from energy. Without him, we’d still be atoms, floating around some indeterminate space and time.

He represents innovation, invention, ideas and craftsmanship.

So if he appears here, then it’s quite possible that you have been struggling to create something that you want to bring into the world, and that you’ve been resistant to either doing it, or to learning what you need to create your ‘thing’.

Often, we fear change, even if we believe things could be better.

Today might be a good time to find out why you’ve felt too intimidated to create the change that you want to see in the world.

9

Anubis

Anubis, the guide, the protector, the diplomat. He shows us the way and teaches us how to relate to the people around us.

As the ancient Egyptian deity related most closely to the Sacral Chakra, if he appears here, then the implication is that you’ve been holding yourself back due to some unresolved sense of guilt.

Guilt is what blocks the Sacral Chakra, and is a potent reason for us to believe that we’re not worthy of what we truly desire.

If this is something that resonates with you, perhaps today is the time to find out why you are still punishing yourself.

10

Set

Set is the god of chaos, something that the (very organised) ancient Egyptians found virtually unforgivable. He was banished to the desert after murdering and dismembering Osiris (before Isis put him  – mostly – back together again).

He represents obstacles, delays and opposition and is generally seen to be the most unhelpful card in the Cartouche.

But he’s very honest. And if he’s appeared for you, then his message is that you’re the common denominator in many of your problems. Or rather, you’ve been self-sabotaging, and then trying to blame everyone else.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news etc.

But if you’re ready to change things, then perhaps now would be a good time to find out why you’ve been doing this to yourself.

11

Fire

While the element of Fire can represent anger (or a fiery nature) in astrology, to the ancient Egyptians, it represented change, energy, and taking action.

It’s related to the Solar Plexus chakra, and through that, it’s connected to our sense of personal power.

When it appears here as the way you’ve been holding yourself back, then it suggests one of two options:

  1. You’re simply burnt out because you haven’t been taking care of yourself properly, or…
  2. You’re trying to overpower a situation or impose your will on other people who’d be quite happy to do their own thing, thanks.

Perhaps today you’d like to find out why you’ve been behaving this way?

12

Air

To the ancient Egyptians, Air was the communicator and the mover of energies.

It moves matters along and it blows away any cobwebs that might be hanging around. It’s associated with the speed of thought and the retention of knowledge. It relates to intellect, communication, speed and specifically commerce. It is also associated with Travel.

It’s associated with the Heart Chakra, and through that, to the way that we relate to the Universe around us.

When it appears for you here, it implies that you’ve somehow become stuck and stagnant. You’ve allowed yourself to retreat from the world for some reason.

Perhaps now would be a good time to find out why?

13

Water

Water was synonymous with emotions to the ancient Egyptians. It flows around obstacles unless it is still and unmoving – in which case it can become stagnant.

Emotions ebb and flow in the same way as Water. And a sympathetic or empathetic person is capable of deeply understanding the emotional problems of others.

If Water appears for you here, then it’s quite possible that you’re feeling guilty about wanting something different from your relationships, and that instead of facing this, you’ve been holding back from expressing yourself.

We feel how we feel. We’re allowed to experience those feelings. If you’ve been throttling your emotions, then perhaps it would help you to find out why that is?

14

Earth

Earth energy is all about the practical aspects of life that concern everyone so much. It’s the alchemical element that’s related to the Root Chakra, which is where we take care of our everyday needs.

The Earth card deals with the practical nature of industry, possessions and money. But through it’s relationship with the Root Chakra, in this case, it implies that you’re so busy trying to survive that you’ve totally forgotten that it’s possible to thrive.

Your fear of losing what you’ve got is blinding you to the potential of what you could have.

Today might be a good day to find out why you’re so fearful of change?

15

Sirius

Sirius was the sacred star of the ancients. Known as the Dog Star (it’s Anubis’ home world) it has both physical and psychic connotations.

Because of this, Sirius represents all genuine contacts with intelligences in the universe, while at the same time, it deals with ordinary physical strength and energy. It’s the guiding star of any pioneering project that might require dogged determination and stamina.

If it appears for you here, then the implication is that either you’ve been hanging onto something that you need to release, or that you need to keep on keeping on to get what you want. Either way, it’s been holding you back.

Maybe today is the right time to find out why that is?

16

Lotus

Typically, the Lotus is one of the best Cartouche cards to bring you peace. It helps you deal with the stresses and tensions associated with modern life. Its message is one of peace and relaxation.

However when it shows up here, it’s representative of its earlier form; the Lotus was the first living thing to emerge from the mud of unconsciousness. And while its flower floats elegantly and beautifully for all to see, underneath the surface there is a tangle of roots, connected into the mud, from where the nutrients that make it so beautiful originate.

Somewhere, you’ve tied yourself in knots. Somewhere you’re strangling yourself. Somewhere, you’re struggling to surface.

Would you like to find out why that is?

17

Crook & Flail

In ancient Egyptian times, the Crook and Flail were emblems of the Pharaoh’s authority and a hint of that energy is retained by this card. It carries the same implication wherever it appears – from the smallest private social group to the largest corporation. This card talks about leadership, authority and the self-discipline required to achieve both of them.

And in the context of this reading, the implication, if you got this card, is that what’s holding you back might be <whisper it> a slight lack of self-discipline.

We all have the capacity to self-sabotage, and it would seem that there’s some procrastination going on for you here. Perhaps you’d like to find out why that is?

18

Uraeus

Uraeus was the insignia of priestly wisdom. The serpent has traditionally been associated with both wisdom and cunning, and both of these energies are definitely connected to this card.

It suggests the ability to ‘see’ into the minds and intentions of others. Whether this ability will be used for good or for evil is entirely down to the stage of spiritual development of the user.

When it appears in a reading like this, the implication is that you’ve been so worried about what other people are thinking that you’ve not really been acting in an authentic manner.

Somehow, you’ve been throttling yourself.

Would you like to find out why that is?

19

Winged Disk

In Egyptian symbology, the Winged Disc is emblematic of the flight of the spirit to higher realms. In the Cartouche, this is the card of unadulterated success and generally speaking it augurs well for whatever you consider to be achievement and a positive outcome.

However, there is another side to the Winged Disk, and if it has turned up for you in this reading, then its implication is that you’re holding yourself back through some delusional thinking.

Sorry, but there it is.

If you’re confused by this, then maybe it’s time to find out why and where you’re fooling yourself?

20

The Twins

The Twins is typically a lucky card for anyone who is looking for a partnership of any kind.

The Twins referred to by this card are the twin lion gods Shu and Tefnut, and because of this, it has taken on the meaning of both polarity and integration.

If The Twins appear for you today, then it’s because the way that you are holding yourself back is relevant, in some way, to a relationship (or the lack of one that would be an important part of your soul evolution).

Perhaps you’d like to find out why this is significant?

21

Sphinx

Typically, when it appears in a Cartouche reading, the Sphinx suggests discrete observation. It suggests that you behave like a wise person who knows more than they hear, but who keeps that information to themselves until the time is right.

Because of this, the Sphinx is associated with the ability to keep secrets, while at the same time managing to wheedle them out of other people.

However, if it appears in this reading, it’s implying that your obsession with secrecy is what has been holding you back.

Maybe it’s time to find out why you’re so uncomfortable with sharing who and what you are, or what it is that you know?

22

Scarab

To the ancient Egyptians, the Scarab was the god of resurrection and immortality. In the context of the Cartouche cards, it speaks of renewal, adaptability and acceptance.

Typically, if you see a Scarab in your reading, then it’s talking about a new beginning or a new phase of your life. It also suggests the ability to either adapt to a new situation, or to accept an existing one that cannot be changed.

However, in the context of this reading, what’s been holding you back is your inability to do one of those things – adapt or accept.

Perhaps it would help to find out why that is?

23

Pyramid

The Pyramid is the Egyptian symbol of evolution of the soul through time.

This Cartouche card represents timelessness, initiation and preservation. Because of this, it refers to a timeless and ageless approach to the situation at hand.

Typically, the Pyramid can be equated with optimism or the ability to sense future changes or conditions. It also indicates that you will be able to evaluate past lessons and learn from them.

When it turns up for you here, however, the implication is that you are holding yourself back by being unable to do exactly that.

Would you like to find out why?

24

Ankh

The Ankh was the symbol of new life in ancient Egypt, and was even referred to as the Key to Life.

It was believed to convey the power of the gods to unlock the door to immortality.

Usually, this card’s meaning talks of a type of life force that is all about universal love and a balanced existence.

However, if it turned up in your reading today then here, it’s talking about your inability to find enough enthusiasm to live a life doing the things you love… with the people you love.

When did your lust for life disappear, and can you find out why it went?

25

Buckle of Isis

The Buckle of Isis upon which this card is based, was a carving that was said to represent a womb. And it essentially conveys the same message… that if you want success (in whatever form that takes for you) then you’ll be able to achieve it, but there will be a price to pay. It represents fidelity and fertility, and growth with a sacrifice.

It suggests growth and abundance in anything – investments, family, money, business – but it acknowledges that with such abundance, there is typically a price to pay. It means that you can’t get to what you want without putting in some effort.

Have you been holding yourself back by not putting in the energy you know you need to?

Want to find out why you’ve been doing that?

26

Sekhmet

Sekhmet was the goddess of war and the hot desert sun. Eventually through transmuting her anger, she also become the goddess of healing.

She’s the ancient Egyptian deity associated with the Solar Plexus Chakra – the root of our personal power.

Shame and anger can block the energy here, either through outwards manifestations in our behaviour, or through our desire to suppress them.

If she appears for you here, then one of those elements is likely to be the reason that you are holding yourself back.

Perhaps now would be a good time to find out why that is?
